การเขียน paragraph 1

ยุ่นได้เรียน writing ครั้งแรกกับ Jennifer เค้าก้อสอนค่อนข้างดีนะ..ทำให้ยุ่นรู้ว่าโครงสร้างของมันเป็นยังไง..และเค้าจะมีตัวอย่างของ writing ดีๆมาให้เราดู..ศึกษาและลองทำดู..

ครูคนที่สองที่เรียนด้วยคือ Ruth อึม..สอนทุกอย่างตามหนังสือ..อ่านและศึกษาเอง..แล้วเขียนส่่ง ครูก้อตรวจและแก้ไขให้เรา และก้อให้คะแนนเลย..ไม่มีเทคนิคอะไรที่พิเศษ..เขียนไปตามสไตล์ของใครของมัน

คนที่ประทับใจที่สุดก้อคือ Tom เค้าเป็นคนที่สอน writing แบบเป็นเรื่องง่ายๆ และมี pattern ที่ดี มี map เพื่อช่วยร่างความคิดและจัดลำดับความคิดเราก่อน..จากนั้นก้อค่อยๆนำเสนอออกมาในรูปแบบที่เป็น structure ของ essay...และก้อมีการสอนเทคนิคการเขียน ว่าจะเขียนแบบใช้เทคนิค simile (เปรียบเทียบที่ใช้ like หรือ as ) หรือเขียนแบบใช้คำซ้ำ เน้นสิ่งที่เราเล่า ซึ่งเรียก parallelism หรือจะใช้ การเสียดสีก้อได้ ซึ่งเค้าเรียก irony

ฉะนั้น..การเขียน writing ที่ยุ่นจะเล่าต่อไปนี้ หรือที่เรียกว่า Writing Academic English จะเป็นบทสรุปที่รวมเอาสิ่งที่เรียนรู้จากครูทั้งสามคนมาผสมกัน เป็นวิธีการของยุ่นเอง...

เริ่มต้น..การเขียน writing เราควรเขียน paragraph ก่อน..แต่ถ้าจะย้อนกลับลงไปจริงๆ..ต้องเริ่มจาก grammar ที่ถูกต้องก่อน... ( ซึ่ง Jennifer จะเริ่มสอนที่ grammar ก่อน..)

ในหนึ่ง paragraph ประกอบด้วยสามส่วนหลักๆคือ Topic Sentence , Supporting Sentences และ Concluding Sentence

ซึ่งทอมเค้าจะให้เราร่างใน map ก่อนว่าเรามี idea สามเรื่องในการเขียนเรื่องนี้อย่างไร จากนั้นค่อยแตกรายละเอียดในแต่ละไอเดีย ซึ่งควรมีตัวอย่างสองหรือสามตัวอย่างในหนึ่งไอเดีย...เสร็จก้อสรุป paragraph ของเรา แล้วค่อยมาแต่ง topic ใน introduction แล้วค่อยตั้งชื่อเรื่อง.. ยกตัวอย่างเช่น :

เค้าให้หัวข้อมา " A visit to a dentist "

เราก้อต้องคิดว่าเราอยากเขียนในแง่ไหน..ดีหรือไม่ดียังไง..ก้อ bring up 3 ideas..

ideas 1. tired - แล้วก้อคิดเรื่องราวที่แสดงความเหนื่อยในการไปหาหมอฟัน

-When a dentist gives treatment to my teeth, I have to open my mouth wide like the front door of a bus. This makes my jaws stuck and unmovable for a while. Also one hours of treatment seems like twenty tedious hours for me.

2. uncomfortable

-Lying on a dental chair is like sitting on an electric execution chair. The noise of all dental equipment is as horrible as the sound of machine in a slaughterhouse. Wondering which appliances will be put into my mouth makes me nervous all the time.

3. unhappy

-I had a very bad experience of visiting a new dentist five years ago when 23-year-old novice pulled one of my left decayed molars out. Then I was not able to talk or open my mouth for three weeks.

เสร็จ เราก้อสรุปว่า Without doubt, if it is not neccessary, I will avoid visiting a dentist entirely.
แล้วก้อมาแต่ง introduction หรือ topic โดยต้องเอาสาม idea บรรจุลงในหนึ่งประโยค
The three best reasons for not visiting a dentist are getting tired, feeling uncomfortable and being unhappy while having some dental-care.

ส่วนการตั้งชื่อเรื่องก้อดูจาก สรุป...เอา phrase หรือวลีเด็ดในสรุปมาตั้งเป็นชื่อเรื่อง...ยุ่นเลือก..

จากนั้นก้อเอาทุกอย่างที่เราร่างมาประกอบร่าง...เป็นอันเรียบร้อย :

เป็นอันเรียบร้อยสำหรับการเขียน paragraph แบบถูกหลักการและมีโครงสร้างที่ถูกต้อง...ส่วน essay ก้อคือการเอา paragraph 5 อันมาต่อกัน...ก้อใช้หลักการประมาณนี้เหมือนกัน...เรียกว่าทอมทำให้ยุ่นรู้สึกว่าการเขียน essay ไม่ใช่เรื่องยากอย่างที่คิด..และเราต้องคง structure นี้ไว้ เพื่อให้ผู้อ่านเข้าใจประเด็นที่เราจะสื่อให้เค้าฟัง...
